My love for clothing began at a young age, inspired entirely by my mother.
By the age of 10, I could recognize fabrics with ease — it was something that came instinctively to me. After completing my Master’s from NIFT Hyderabad, I began working with a designer. But growing up in a Marwadi family, I always knew that entrepreneurship was in my blood.
I launched my first retail brand with a thoughtfully curated collection of handpicked designs. While the experience was fulfilling, I felt something was still missing. I’ve always designed my own Indian outfits, and people would often say, “We want to wear what you’re wearing.” That simple feedback lit a spark in me.
Two years later, I decided to take the leap — and VAMA was born, a label that reflects my personal creativity.
It’s my hope that wearing our creations brings you the same joy I feel while designing them.
